Wingspan 9 - 13 mm.
Flight period Flying in June and July, found in the afternoons on the flowers of the foodplant hogweed (Heraclium sphondylium).
Description Distinctive species, having two orange blotches on a chocolate brown forewing.
Larvae: The larvae spin seeds of hogweed together and feed on the seeds inside the spinning.
Habitat: Waysides, gardens, open woodland and hillsides.
