Size

Description

A Darter - Male and Female have separate coloration. The mature male has a pale blue abdomen which lacks a black tip.
Females are pale yellow brown with yellow tinted wings . The male is very teritorially agressive against other males.

Habitat

Adult Keeled Skimmers have a preferred bog habitat and are found in heaths and bogs where there are shallow flushes and pools. The largest populations occur at low levels on sslopes.which face south.
