Description

Samphire, or rock samphire (Crithmum maritimum), the sole species of the genus Crithmum, is an edible wild plant found in coastal regions The leaves are divided into narrow, fleshy lobes. Umbels of greenish yellow flowers appear June­SeptemberGrey-green perennial, characteristic of rocky habitats and stable shingle around the coasts of S and W Britain and Ireland. .
