Description

Perennial of roadside verges and meadows, mostly on base-rich soils. Widespread and locally common, mainly in C and N England and Scotland. Lower leaves deeply divided into 5 to 7 lobes. Bluish violet flowers 3 to 5cm across; appear June to August. Height up to 75cm
