Description

Perennial of grassy places. Locally common in England and Wales. Leaves narrow, clasping or sheathing at base. Flower heads, 30 to 40mm across, are fringed by bracts and close on dull days and by midday; seen May to August. Fruit a large white 'clock'. Height up to 60 cm
