Roughly hairy annual of disturbed, often sandy, soil. Widespread and locally common in E England. Narrow leaves have wavy margins; lower ones stalked, upper ones clasping stem. Sprays of blue flowers, 5 to 6mm across, appear May to September. Height up to 50cm
