Flower diameter c 6-12 mm

Delicate often mat forming perennial. Flowers upturned bell-shaped, with 5 petal-lobes, pink, petals 2-3 times longer than sepals. Leaves in opposite pairs, short-stalked. Flowers solitary in leaf-axils on slender stalks several times longer than leaves.

Other features: Stems rounded, not sharply angled like Scarlet Pimpernel. A creeping perennial, rooting at the nodes
