Descripttion

Predominately a southern species, but not occurring Nof Yorkshire, on the wing in July, and can be attracted to light

The larvae feed together in a silken web spun on hawthorn (Crataegus), after firstly mining the leaves. Other foodplants include blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) and Cotoneaster.
