It is a small green crabfound on shores but can be seen at depths of 4.5 m,Well developed nippers , Runs rapidly sideways on land and sea bed . feeds on remains of plants and animals growing up to 3 inches across the shell. Colour can vary including browns. The carapace has five sharp serrations on either side of its eyes.This is the commonest crab found on-shore
