This species is similar tp the Roach and Chub

Identification

It has one Dorsal Fin on the Back. The dorsal side is Olive Green This fish has a slim cylindrical body , with Belly and flanks of silver . It is distinguished from Roach and Chubb by Yellowish Ventral fins and Yellow Eyes

Diet

Insects , Insect larvae , Crustaceans and some Vegetation

Habitat

A Clean and Fast Flowing River where it tends to sim in shoals. Common in England less elsewhere and not found in Scotland

Reproduction

Spawns Feb - May. The Male develops tubercules
