Description

Has one dorsal fin. Downward sloping mouth with large eye. A fish with a slender profile, Silvery sides with greenish dorsal area. Shoals swim near the water surfaces

Habitat

Bleak live in slow flowing lowland rivers and some England and parts of Wales lakes preyed upon by Kingfisher and Grebe

Reproduction

Bleak spawn from April - June depending on water temperature near banks where a large ammount of splashing may be heard
