IdentificationThe elytra is grey-black with a pronotom of yellow orange which may or may not have a central dark mark .Black on the orange hind legs extends above the 'knee'.

Life CycleThe Cantharidae larvae live on the ground and are carnivorous, feeding on smaller insects. Adults also are carnovorous where they will visit flowers in search of insect prey

Habitat Flower meadows hedgerows feeding on blossom and flowers slike Hogweed.
